My aunt talked me into this crap when I built my new home in 2007. The installer was a so called reputable tile and carpet company where I live (Wisconsin).
They grouted the tile with the Duraceramic premixed grout. The grout is contracting away from the tiles and looks lousy. I went to the company who installed it and the installer came out and said it was a heat problem. He said the Duraceramic in his house had the same problem.
Well, that was a lot of comfort. He said I should try to put some grout over the cracked grout and sponge off the excess. Sound feasible? I was originally going to go with regular ceramic.
The tiles themselves actually look alright except for marks from dropped kitchen utensils.
But the grout looks like crap. Anybody on here have the same problem and found any solutions?
