I purchased the Conguleum product , Durastone Flooring tiles, from a local Freight Liquidators store , located on Main Street Courtland Mannor , NY. One of the main reasons why I purchased this product was because I was informed by the sales rep.

That the product was manufactured by a very reputable company that been around for several decades and that the lifelong limited warranty , covered uneven wearing for a " Life long" period.Recently I noticed that several tiles were wearing unevenly and I contacted the store where I bought the tiles. I was told by a sales rep from that store the he never heard of this product , does not have it in stock , never did have it in stock , does not know who manufacturers the product and will not honor the warranty for those reasons and also because the store changed it's name from Freight liquidators to FL . net several years ago ,making it a new store that they need not honor the warranty offered by the old store. WHAT A CROCK OF *** In my query with reference to this problem I discovered that the store in which I bought the tiles were still listed as a supplier of Conguleum products and that the Durastone brans name has been replaced by a product named Duraceramic.

I contacted the product manufacturer , Coguleum Corp. , on it's web sight and left messages to please call me back with ref. to a product warranty. Never got a call back.

I then wrote my complaint out via their web sight. After several days , low and behold , no answer. I was able to speak to a person in their consumer complaint dept who informed me that when Cogulem Corp. says that a product will last as long as one owns the product , it doesn't mean what it appears to say.

According to Coguleum a " lifetime" means about five years. The person with whom I spoke informed me , after I requested to speak with a supervisor , that he would switch me to the NY office of the consumer complaint dept. After switching my call , the phone rang about twenty times after which a recording came on saying the the person was not at their desk and to call back latter. These companies may have been around for several decades but as of today they are not to be trusted .

I would be extremely hesitate to do business with either business if this is the way they treat their consumers. In my opinion both these companies are not to be trusted and anyone doing business with them should look else where for a more dedicated organization .

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $50.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
